Changemakers: Amplified
Make change on a world stage
What is Changemakers: Amplified about?
Changemakers: Amplified is a programme for mission-driven leaders who are ready to share their message on a world stage. It’s designed to give you the communication and influencing skills, and the global connections, to effect change at a bigger scale. It’s as simple as that.
How will I benefit?
You’ll hear from changemakers, journalists and policy-makers who’ve been there and worn the T-shirt. Changemakers: Amplified isn’t a theoretical programme – it’s interactive, immersive – and practical. You’ll benefit from hearing perspectives and asking questions that speak directly to your growth as a changemaker.
Why me?
Why not you? If you’re passionate about your mission and believe it’s important, it’s time to share it with more people. By amplifying your message, you will gather support, gain new connections, and hear of opportunities you might not have dared to dream of – until now.
But is it *really* for me?
If you are a leader within a mission-led organisation, or lead your own established community of changemakers, very likely, yes.
Who else will be involved?
Each cohort will include a maximum of ten changemakers. Apart from monthly Masterclasses and quarterly 121 Power Hour calls, you will support each other as peers over nine months. It’s easier to build trust and strong relationships within a smaller group.
I’m in! When do we start?
Changemakers: Amplified is by application by 31 January 2021 and programme start in March 2021. Download the Changemakers: Amplified application form for information on the application process, fees, and information on bursaries.
The Modules
During each two-hour monthly module, Inspiring Women Changemakers Founder Anj Handa will share her own changemaking experiences and will invite global changemakers, journalists, and policy-makers throughout the programme to contribute their expert perspectives.
The programme will be delivered virtually over Google Meet, allowing changemakers to participate wherever they are based in the world, and our Changemaker Campus on Thinkific will enable the learning, sharing and discussions to continue between sessions.

Your Facilitator
Changemakers: Amplified will be curated by our Founder, Anj Handa. Named as one of Grant Thornton’s 100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy, described by i-news as ‘a bloody brilliant woman’ and winner of the AFSA 2017 Positive Action Award, Anj has 17 years’ experience of changemaking.
Formerly a professional lobbyist and Director of a UK non-departmental public body, it was in 2014 that Anj’s life changed when she was introduced to asylum-seeker Afusat Saliu and her two daughters.
Anj led a high-profile campaign to support their claim for asylum, pulling together a top legal team and launching a Change.org petition which gathered 126,500 signatures. The campaign attracted attention from the global media, MPs and business leaders such as Sir Richard Branson.
She has been interviewed extensively by the media over the years and was recently recognised in Forbes as one of the ’10 Diversity & Inclusion Trailblazers You Need to Get Familiar With.’ She also features in books such as Generation Share, Eradicating FGM in the UK, and Refugee Tales.
Throughout Changemakers: Amplified, Anj will share her experiences and will invite global changemakers, journalists and policy-makers throughout the programme to offer their expert perspectives.
