Igniting Inspiration Campaign & Awards

Showcasing ordinary women doing extraordinary things

As featured by BBC North, i-news and The Voice!

Women who are making a positive difference at work or in society often don’t get the recognition they deserve. They work tirelessly and they rarely stop to reflect on the impact that they’ve made on the people around them. They’re usually reluctant to put themselves forward for accolades, because they don’t feel they’re doing anything special.

Too many great stories go unheard! And we’ve witnessed how their achievements inspire even greater positive social action. That’s why we’re dedicated to sharing their inspirational stories, online and offline.

Positive PR for Changemakers

Our year-round online PR campaign showcases the achievements and dedication of women changemakers. We give them the recognition and profile they deserve by publishing each nomination as a case study on our website. This way, our nominees benefit from a dedicated web page that showcases their work and that can be shared widely across social media.

We amplify the campaign’s reach by working with trusted partners. In 2020, BBC North continues to be our main media partner, sharing our nominee and winner stories throughout the year. We are grateful for their support.

And finally, at our celebration event each year, we showcase six women drawn from their respective categories to highlight the social change they are making at home, at work, or in their communities. Due to Covid-19, our celebration event will be held online this year, broadcast live from Chapel FM’s studios in Leeds.
